Memberships

Once the club is created, most of the settings and configurations will be inherited from the national federation.

The first step is to configure the membership fees so players can be charged a fee once they become members of your club.

Membership requests

There are 4 types of membership requests in Coral:

  • Membership join - when a player joins the club for the first time
  • Membership change - when a player has an active membership and wants to change from one membership type to another
  • Membership revoke - when a player wants to leave the club
  • Membership renew - when a player has an inactive membership and wants to renew it (either at the beginning of the season or during the season)

Membership quick join

If you want players to quickly join your club, you can share an URL or a QR codes with them.

You can find the URL and QR codes in the Organization > Settings > Quick Actions (bottom section).

If the person already has a Coral account, then he can use the "Coral users" QR code. Otherwise, share the "New users" QR code.

Membership settings

You can change the behaviour of how the membership requests are being handled in Coral in the Organization > Settings > Membership Settings section.

For example you might want to disallow a player to change his membership during season.

The membership request can be automatically approved by Coral using the default settings. The reccommended way is to auto-approve the membership change and membership renew requests. This will allow players to quickly become members of the club and be able to participate in tournaments without waiting for confirmation.

These are the most sensible defaults:

Membership fees

You can access the membership fees in Organization > Settings (sidebar) > Membership Fees section.

Click on Create button to create your first membership fee.

Create a basic fee

In the example below we create a membership fee for the International membership type of the Greek Federation.

The following rules will be applied:

  • default amount is €50
  • if the player is U19 the amount will be €0
  • for foreign players the amount is €100 (not having Greece as country of sport nationality)

Assign as default

Once the membership fee is created, in order to have this assigned automatically during membership requests, go to Organization > Settings > Membership Types and click on the Edit/View button corresponding to the membership type. In the new pop-up, look for Default membership fee input and click on Change.

Tip

Once the membership fee is set as the default, it will automatically apply to membership renewals or changes initiated by players, without needing manual approval from the manager.
